Coaching & Mentoring
What is Coaching? A brief definition is ‘A purposeful conversation that inspires you to create the life you want’. Maybe you are thinking about the next stage of your personal development and would welcome some support to identify where you want to be and what you need to do to get there. Coaching will provide you with space to explore and define your goals, reality test them, consider options and how you’re going to go about achieving what you need to. If you are considering a change in role or promotion, we can use this space to prepare you for the interview and selection process.
Professional supervision is a positive and enabling process that offers the opportunity to reflect on work practice. It is not ‘therapy’ or ‘line management’, but is a space where an individual can review and evaluate their work through open discussion. I do not impose my agenda, it is totally based on material and issues raised by individuals.
The overall aim of supervision is to ensure personal well-being is maintained and good working practice. It will also help to improve communication, ensure development of self, address workload management issues, provide recognition of professional and personal boundaries. We will look at interventions, outcomes, consequences of interventions and explore other possible interventions. In summary, to promote good quality working environments where all staff feel supported in their roles throughout the organisation.
